Okposi Digital Community Guidelines
Okposi Digital is our digital town square. Whether you live in Okposi, reside in Lagos or Abuja, or live in the diaspora, these rules ensure our community remains welcoming, authentic, and constructive.
1. Respect, Civility & Cultural Honor
Okposi is built on deep heritage, kinship, and mutual respect. Treat every member with dignity, regardless of their village quarter, age grade, family, or background. Differences in opinion should be expressed respectfully without insults, mockery, or hostility.
2. Zero Tolerance for Defamation, Accusations & Slander
Do not use Okposi Digital to publish unverified allegations, rumors, family disputes, or defamatory claims against individuals, chiefs, local leaders, or businesses. Posts designed to tarnish reputations or settle personal grudges will be removed immediately, and offending accounts will be banned.
3. Authentic Sharing & Local Focus
Keep content relevant to Okposi, its people, events, development, culture, and achievements. Share authentic photos, real milestones, honest business showcases, and historical photographs. Avoid clickbait, fake news, and spam.
4. Honest Business & Event Listings
Local business owners, artisans, and farmers are encouraged to showcase their services. Provide accurate contact details, WhatsApp numbers, opening hours, and honest descriptions. Fraudulent schemes, scams, or misleading products will result in permanent removal.
5. Content Reporting & Moderation Process
Community members can report any post or comment using the "Report" flag button. Reports are reviewed by community moderators. Penalties for violations include warning notices, post deletion, temporary suspension, or permanent IP and account bans.
